Intervention can be a valuable tool in helping someone you love struggling with addiction. Family members can be in shock when they uncover the situation of drug abuse or alcoholism. They can be uninformed about how to go about helping their loved one. Sadly, some of them can also be enabling their loved one to continue the abuse and chemical dependency.
This is where intervention can be involved. By intervening and confronting the individual, it can provide the motivation needed for that person to enter treatment.
Cirque Lodge would like to help you this where we can. Keith Fierman, Director of Family Services at Cirque Lodge, has served many years as an interventionist and counselor. He still serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of Intervention Specialists. He is happy to work with you on solutions for your loved one. Even supplying help in cases when an interventionist is not needed. As a member of the Board of Directors, Keith can also assist you with recommendations on intervention specialists that would best suit your needs.
